Kristine Sperling
Special Counsel
Kristine represents the interests of U.S. and internationally-based primary and excess insurers in the areas of cyber liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability and reps and warranties liability. Kristine’s practice includes managing first party claims and third party claims from inception to end; the monitoring of underlying litigation and incidents; risk assessment; providing coverage analyses; coordinating defense counsel, and other professionals in developing defense, resolution and negotiating and achieving resolution of claims.
Kristine spent the first part of her career as a finance attorney, specializing in both structured finance and traditional lending. She has significant experience in corporate law as well, in particular advising on small cap mergers and acquisitions. Kristine is an entrepreneur, having launched a small consumer packaged goods company. She is a dedicated volunteer and serves on boards in her community as well as providing governance consulting. In law school, Kristine interned for the City of Madison’s City Attorney’s office. Kristine was also an editor for her law school’s Women’s Law Journal.
